The short version

What Rubric stores

The things you create in the app: classes, student names and the details you add (such as student numbers, emails or notes), rubrics, assignments, grades, feedback and your comment bank.

Without an account, all of this stays on your device. It's included in backups you choose to export, and it's removed when you erase the app's data or delete the app.

If you create an account

Sync is optional. When you sign in, Rubric stores your email address, a securely hashed password (never the password itself), and a copy of your data on its server, so it can sync between your devices.

Students

Rubric is a tool for teachers. Students don't use it or sign in to it. Student information is entered by the teacher, belongs to the teacher's school, and is used only to provide the app's features to that teacher. We never use it for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.

This website

yourrubric.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. Our web server keeps standard access logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for a short time to keep the service running and secure.

Deleting your data

You can erase everything on a device from Settings → Erase all data. To have your account and its synced data deleted from the server, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
